2n1 serves a variety of high-quality meats and side dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the Beef Brisket, Bulgogi, Beef Belly, Garlic Pork Belly, and Chicken Bulgogi. Each of the meats were so flavorful and went so well with the sesame oil and gochujang dipping sauces. I also recommend their Passion Fruit Soju; it was so refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It’s my new favorite soju! Highly recommend this spot for a bang for your buck KBBQ.

Lur Ros Thai Kitchen is one of my new favorite Thai spots in North County! Their Pad Thai and Mussaman Curry were super flavorful and had a nice level of spice—I couldn’t get enough. And their portions were so generous for the price. I highly recommend and am excited to try their other dishes!

Joyee’s Dumpling House has a location in Vista and satisfied my dim sum craving, which is hard to come by in North County. I enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao and am looking forward to trying their Pork Buns and Chicken Wings next time. We also liked their Mapo Tofu!

Mikko Sushi has become one of my favorite sushi spots. They have a large selection of creative rolls and Japanese entrees! My favorite rolls so far are the Escondido, Mikko, and Twister.

Their Pad See Ew is great. They also have amazing Thai curry! Super rich, flavorful, and had a nice creaminess and spice. I preferred the yellow over the red.

On my first visit, I like to sample different tacos and went with the Adobada, Asada, and Quesabirria. My favorite by far was the Quesabirria because the meat was so tender and juicy. The Adobada and Asada were delicious, too. I slightly preferred the Adobada because it was more flavorful. Highly recommend!

This smashburger was amazing! The beef was juicy and well cooked and I loved how soft and caramelized the onions were. The American cheese melted nicely between the patties and the garlic aioli was so full of flavor that the burger didn’t need additional sauces. Highly recommend!

I’m a huge fan of Tropical Juices & Deli in Vista, a mom and pop cafe serving classic deli options (sandwiches, bagels, smoothies) and Mexican food (tortas, birria). I love their Birria Grilled Cheese and Birria Quesadilla. Their birria is so flavorful and juicy and I appreciate their generous servings of it. The birria paired with their consome is chef’s kiss. I highly recommend and look forward to trying their Birria Ramen!

JamPinoy is a brand new Jamaican and Filipino restaurant in Vista! This time, I went with the Filipino dishes: Chicken Adobo, Kare Kare, and Pancit. My favorite was the Kare Kare because the flavors were on point and I appreciated that they used beef instead of oxtail, which was so fatty and tender. The Pancit met my expectations and I wish the Chicken Adobo had more sauce because it was so good. I’ll be back to try their Jamaican dishes and Filipino breakfast!

The highlight of the Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu Combo was the katsu’s breading. It was light and had a nice flavor while the chicken was juicy and nicely fried. This might be one of my new favorite katsu dishes! I also loved the Teriyaki Chicken, which was grilled to perfection and had a sweet and savory teriyaki glaze.

Glutenus Maximus Bakehouse in Vista offers great sandwiches, pastries, and desserts! Their Croissant Sandwich exceeded my expectations. The lemon-garlic aioli was the obvious highlight for me because it was so flavorful. I also loved the crispiness of the hash brown. I’d get this sandwich again and will be back to try their other sandwiches and treats!

This was a bang for your buck poke bowl that came with 2 scoops of protein. The Aloha Tuna and Spicy Salmon were great choices because of how flavorful they were, even without the additional sauces. They offer a variety of mix-ins and fill their bowls to the brim. Highly recommend this new family-owned restaurant in Vista!

Uncle Tony’s Italian Cuisine is a great Italian restaurant in Vista if you’re looking for a fancier meal. I enjoyed my Calzone with Pepperoni as it had copious amounts of cheese. The highlight was their marinara sauce, which was clearly house-made as it tasted so fresh and had the right amount of sweetness.

Cocina del Carmen satisfied my birria craving. I loved how flavorful the birria and consomé were. And guac is always a plus for me. I just wished the tortilla was crispier, but it must be eating there in person. Highly recommend!

Tacos Don Paco is a great taqueria in Vista! I like sampling different tacos during my first visit, so I went with the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Fish, and Shrimp. The fish was surprisingly my favorite! It was fried to perfection and the slaw and crema complimented it nicely. My second favorite was the al pastor because of its flavor. The carne asada was grilled well but didn’t stand out. And I really enjoyed the shrimp but the taco didn’t need the bell peppers. Overall, I recommend checking it out and will be back for their Quesabirria Tacos!

Meche’s Fish Tacos is a great food truck in Vista! You can get 3 fish tacos for $10, which is a pretty good deal for food trucks. And their tacos are delicious! The fish was fried perfectly and well seasoned while the slaw and crema complimented it nicely. I’d also recommend their chipotle salsa.

I enjoyed the Sesame Chicken at Chef Tang In Vista! I’d never had it before and the sauce was both savory and sweet. It wasn’t my favorite sauce and the chicken could’ve been crispier though.
