I fell in love with the Spicy Garlic Ahi Poke Bowl at Cherry Blossom Burmese Cafe in Carlsbad. This poke bowl transported me to Hawaii because it was very comparable to the bowls there. Their spicy garlic sauce bursted with flavor and the ahi was so fresh. I appreciated how simple the fix-ins were, like in Hawaii, so that all the attention is on the fish and sauce. I loved that there were apple slices because they added a nice crunch and flavor! I’ll be back to try some of their Burmese dishes and highly recommend this restaurant!

Tekipoke Ramen & Boba in San Marcos serves customized poke bowls, ramen, and a variety of Japanese dishes. I absolutely loved their poke bowl. The tuna and spicy tuna were very fresh and the assortment of sauces added so much flavor. Highly recommend!

The highlight of the Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu Combo was the katsu’s breading. It was light and had a nice flavor while the chicken was juicy and nicely fried. This might be one of my new favorite katsu dishes! I also loved the Teriyaki Chicken, which was grilled to perfection and had a sweet and savory teriyaki glaze.

Excellent and satisfying poké bowl! It came with 3 scoops of fish, seaweed salad, imitation crab, AND avocado. That’s pretty tough to find at most poké places.

This was a bang for your buck poke bowl that came with 2 scoops of protein. The Aloha Tuna and Spicy Salmon were great choices because of how flavorful they were, even without the additional sauces. They offer a variety of mix-ins and fill their bowls to the brim. Highly recommend this new family-owned restaurant in Vista!

Pretty solid poké place in Vista! I appreciated the generous portions and all the toppings. The fish wasn’t the freshest, but the eel sauce and spicy mayo made up for it.

I’m a sucker for places with huge portions, reasonable prices, and astonishingly fast service. I highly recommend Teri Cafe if you’re looking for bang for your buck teriyaki.

This was a customizable bowl with two scoops of protein. The tuna and salmon were fresh but the scoops could’ve been bigger. I loved the mixture of sauces (Pokewan, K Spicy, Sriracha Mayo) I got because it added great flavor and heat. I’m not rushing to come back here, especially for the price, but it’s a pretty solid poké bowl.

I love Ohana Hawaiian BBQ’s huge portions! Their Chicken Katsu was great and I’m looking forward to trying their Hawaiian BBQ Mix plate.
