I’ve (willingly) waited two hours for Howlin Ray’s Sando because it’s the absolute BEST sandwich I’ve ever had. The chicken is the juiciest, crispiest, most perfectly seasoned chicken I've ever had. It’s my favorite place to eat at in LA and I implore you to try it!

Perch is one of my happy places. It has the most beautiful views of Downtown LA and delicious food; it's the perfect place for a special occasion. The Steak Frites is heavenly. So much juice oozed out with every cut and the meat was perfectly tender and flavorful. The fries were even immaculate! Chef's kiss!

My palette had the time of its life at Kuya Lord, a modern Filipino spot. The Lechon Kawali Rice Bowl was like elevated comfort food—it had all of the elements of a traditional Lechon Kawali but bursting with even more flavor. It was fatty, crispy, and double fried to perfection without being greasy. The Java Rice and Atchara complimented the Lechon so well, too. They even had a House-made Garlic Chili Oil, which had a surprisingly complex flavor profile. It wasn’t just spicy but also savory and a little sweet! And I was happy they had a delicious vegan Tofu & Mushroom dish because Filipino cuisine isn’t the most plant-based friendly.

I found one of my new favorite tacos. They have the BEST Al Pastor taco I’ve ever had. The amount of flavor and spice blew me away. They loaded this street taco with juicy, tender meat and topped it with pineapple, which paired so beautifully with the flavors of the meat. The Carne Asada taco was great but couldn’t compare to the Al Pastor. I had this months ago and I’m still dreaming about it.

Daikokuya is our favorite LA ramen spot. They had a new Black Garlic Oil add-on that I tried and their ramen was even better than I remembered. Black garlic oil tends to be saltier, but theirs was perfectly rich and savory. Highly recommend!

We LOVE Mamma's and are regulars here. Not only do they have amazing pizza, but also great Italian dishes. This might be the best pizza/Italian spot in the San Gabriel Valley! Since we've been here many times, we have a pretty good gauge of what to get here. Our favorites are the Manhattan Meatlovers, BBQ Chicken, Margherita, and Cheese pizzas.

One of my new favorite (boozy) brunch spots in LA! This place knows how to do bottomless mimosas. They give you a bottle of champagne and OJ on the side so that you don’t have to wait for refills. And this costs a whopping $15 per person! It gets better. Their fried chicken sandwich was heavenly. I don’t tolerate spicy food that well, but their “Side Chick” flavor (a mix of sweet and spicy) was perfection.

After trying lots of tonkotsu ramen all over LA, their Burnt Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen was a delightful surprise. I loved the unique flavor of the broth, the corn, and the runny egg (my ideal ramen toppings!). Overall, it was a very satisfying bowl of ramen and I'm looking forward to trying their other ones.

Roscoe's is an LA staple and their Chicken and Waffles is a perfect meal. The Fried Chicken is fried to perfection, the skin is so crispy, and each bite is juicy and flavorful. The savoriness of the chicken is balanced so well with the sweetness of the waffle. Their butter is one of my all-time favorite butters. Highly recommend!

One of our all time favorite dessert places! The texture of the soft serve is perfect -- has the consistency and creaminess of ice cream and lightness of soft serve. You can't go wrong with any of their flavors: matcha, ube, cookies and cream, milk, mango -- all AMAZING. If you can't choose one flavor, they have their weekly swirls! That's not even the best part: you get that in a Nutella filled Taiyaki (or another filling of your choice), which is crispy, puffy perfection. You must try this place!

I've been here multiple times and tried six flavors thanks to the split single being the same price as the regular single. All of their ice cream is delicious and creamy. I appreciate the electric variety of flavors inspired by different places in the world! My favorite flavors are the Ube Malted Crunch and Abuelita Malted Crunch.
