The highlight of the Country Fried Steak was the gravy—so creamy and flavorful. I’d definitely come back and try their Cinnamon Rolls or any dish with the “Cardiff Crack” (tri-tip).

Home Sweet Home Cafe did a great job at embodying their name with the wall art, variety of fun mugs, and friendly service. The Biscuits & Gravy was easily my favorite—that gravy was so thick and creamy and even had bacon bits! The French Toast was good, too

Curbside Cafe is a cute brunch spot in downtown Vista! The server recommended their Eggs Benedict and I enjoyed it. The highlight was the hollandaise because it was creamy and slightly tangy. They also poached the eggs perfectly. It’s not one of my go-to brunch spots, but I still recommend trying!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes are our favorite kind of pancakes so we split this. Their portions are huge here! I wish the pancakes were fluffier and had more chocolate. The highlights were surprisingly the house-made whipped cream and powdered sugar!

I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, especially the Sope one. But my favorite part of the brunch was the Mimosa Flight! I loved their Mango and Pomegranate Mimosas.

This diner in Carlsbad reminded me of JJ’s Diner from Parks and Rec! It had wholesome vibes, good waffles, and even better apple pies. I wanna try their chocolate pies next time.
