Chin’s Szechuan is a popular Chinese chain in San Diego County that serves up huge portions of delicious dishes. Their Tangerine Chicken was amazing! The chicken was crispy and juicy and the sauce was tangy, sweet, savory, and spicy. I love how you can adjust the spice levels on every dish. I highly recommend this San Diego staple and will be back to try more of their dishes!

Surf Up Chicken is an amazing family-owned business that serves up delicious Taiwanese fried chicken in Carlsbad. According to the owner, the chicken is marinated for 3 days and I believe it. This meal transported me back to Taiwan and I couldn’t get enough of their crispy, mouthwatering chicken. They even make house-made sauces like Yum Yum, Nashville Hot, and Zesty Green! My favorite sauce was the Golden Chicken Dip, which tasted like an elevated version of the Chick-Fil-A sauce. Their Filipino-style Spaghetti was very nostalgic for me as I loved the sweet, savory sauce. Highly, highly recommend checking this place out.

Joyee’s Dumpling House has a location in Vista and satisfied my dim sum craving, which is hard to come by in North County. I enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao and am looking forward to trying their Pork Buns and Chicken Wings next time. We also liked their Mapo Tofu!

The Pork Xiao Long Bao was well executed and my favorite dish here! The dumplings had a good amount of soup and a juicy pork filling. I also loved the Chicken Fried Udon! They had the perfect thickness and the sauce was very flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed the spice from the Vegetable Spicy Wontons and appreciated the tofu in these wontons! I liked the pork and vegetable filling and the crispy outer layer of the Pork Pan-Fried Dumpling.

Tasty Noodle House at the Shoppes at Carlsbad has lots of tasty Shanghai dishes to offer! Whenever there’s dim sum, I’m always going to go for the Xiao Long Bao. The pork was juicy and flavorful, especially with the black vinegar sauce and chili oil. I was wanting just a little more soup though. The Vegetarian Buns were also fluffy, delicious, and went so well with the chili oil. I’ll definitely be back here to try their noodle dishes!

China Fusion has great Kung Pao Tofu and Honey Walnut Shrimp. I loved the tofu’s spice and the glaze on the shrimp—just wish there was more glaze because it was so good. My favorite dish so far has been their Mongolian Beef!

The Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet was fried perfectly and not oily at all. It was well seasoned and spiced, too. I’m grateful the server recommended this!

Chinese fast food is one of my guilty pleasures because I loved Panda Express growing up. I enjoyed a 2-Item Combo from Panda Wok in San Marcos. The highlight was their Orange Chicken while the Chow Mein could’ve had a little more flavor. I’d recommend the Fried Rice and Beef with Broccoli, too. Simple, yet satisfying meal!

I enjoyed the Sesame Chicken at Chef Tang In Vista! I’d never had it before and the sauce was both savory and sweet. It wasn’t my favorite sauce and the chicken could’ve been crispier though.
